This is a Read Me about the PieGraph Maker by 3B Jr. First of all, why did I do this? First of all, a like pie graphs more than bar graphs. But mostly, I put this out because, well, I said I would. One more thing before I start the important stuff: My friend and I think that this is a better program then the BarGraph Maker

1) What You Need
First of all, you need a superior machine like any Mac. Of course, if you are reading this, then you must have one anyway. Good choice. Also, you'll need LogoMation, a shareware program that is very kewl(cool). You can get it off of AOL. LogoMation is well worth the download and if you register it you will get an updated version of it whenever a new version comes out. What else do you need? Oh yes, you will need an extension called Flash-It. I'm pretty sure it comes with your Mac. Other than that, I can't think of anything. Well, you do need to know how to use it. Read on...
2) How To Make A Graph
You first need all of the info that will be put into your graph. This includes the percentage that will be shown and what it will be called. Note the emphasis on PERCENTAGE. If you write a 33 and a 33, each one will be about one third, not one half. This program makes graphs, but you still have to do the math. Maybe (a) future version(s) will eliminate this inconvenience. So, here's what you do:
1: double click PieGraph Icon, the PieGraph program will start up.
2: after the Logo comes and goes, Look at the top right corner. It will
say "Percent?"
3: type in the percent (e.g. "25")
4: look again. It will ask you for the "Label?"
5: type in what you want to call the percent (e.g. "dogs"
6: there. Now the computer will make a wedge showing the percent colored
in with a random color. To the left of it, the program will also
write the label, percent, and color of the wedge. So, using the
examples I gave, the program will make a one quarter circle (25%) and
to the left write " dogs, 25%" and the would be colored in with the
same color as the wedge that was just made.
7: repeat until you reach 100%. A couple things. First of all, when you
reach 100% the program will end automatically. Secondly, if you get
more than 100%, the last thing you wrote will be ignored and you will
be able to try again
NOTE-you are dealing with decimal numbers. You cannot truly express one
third of 100%
3) How To Get A Graph Onto Another File
First, you will have to open that Flash-It program I mentioned earlier. Now, under HotKeys, assign something to Scrapbook file. Lets say that you choose F13. Whenever I mention F13, use whatever you said assigned to Scrapbook file. Now open the graphmaker and make a graph. When you finish, press F13. Your cursor should turn into a cross(+). Now click and drag it so that the square that you make encloses the whole graph and key. Let go. Now go to a word processor like Microsoft Word and paste it where you want it (SimpleText-like programs wont work because they can't make pictures). Now print. There. Your graph will be printed.
